History - Sriman Madhva-Gaudeshwar-Vasihnava Peetham.

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the Supreme personality of Godhead. He appeared on this earth as Sri Krishna Himself but manifested the mood and loving sentiments of Srimati Radharani, the most exalted of all devotees. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprubhu incarnated to causelessly bestow loving devotional service upon all living beings. He continuously chanted the holy names of the Lord with His eternal associates in harinam sankirtan and conducted many congregational preaching activities. Lord Chaitanya flooded the entire universe with love of Krishna and as a result, innumerable devotees came to take shelter at His lotus feet. Feeling pure love of God in their hearts His devotees dedicated their lives to propagate His teachings.
